Dave and GEM campers and staff had another great outing this time up north. it looks like the bass and pike were cooperating nicely! I will find out next week as I will be up there monday through friday!

Fishing for life kids outing

Me and Dave got the GEM boats out on weaver lake to help out with the fishing for life kids fishing outing. We had lots of kids show up eager to try going out on the water.
The kids I took out never have been in a boat or caught fish before. unfortunatly the fish didn't want to bite. it appears they recently killed the pondweed out and the fish were scattered and negative. a few fish were caught though. bluegill and bass mainly. Most of the kids had more fin zipping around the lake than fishing I think!

GEM Spring outings

We had some successful spring outings

We did opener on lake Waconia. a cold front had the walleyes sleeping, but panfish saved the day as they often do, everyone got fish. MT forgot his camera, good thing dave took some pics!

Ice fishing outing 1-19-2009

Dave and wayne got out with a few kids for the first GEM fishing outing of the year! I wasn't able to go because it was on a work day. They had good fishing with lots of panfish on the feed, some kids got their first fish through the ice! Great job kids, and guides!
